Bicycles are used as specific hire fleet and will not be brand new (So please no feedback that it wasn’t a new bicycle) All bicycles are checked prior to use.
Hire starts when the bicycle is collected and the booking form is signed this then gives you 24 hours hire.
Helmets will not be provided by Portsmouth Cycle Exchange in the interest of safety the rider must wear their own, this is not Portsmouth Cycle Exchange responsibility.
No children’s equipment is provided by Portsmouth Cycle Exchange and bookings can be only taken for over 18’s.
At the time of the hire the user must provide Portsmouth Cycle Exchange with Identification in the form of either a drivers licence or passport which will be photographed by Portsmouth Cycle Exchange.
A refundable security and damage deposit of £50.00 will be requested by Portsmouth Cycle Exchange prior to hire. (This is payable by credit/debit card or cash) * Please note a £100.00 deposit is required for the Tandem and Road bike hire.
When making a booking you will be asked what the bicycle will be used for to ensure the hired cycle is fit for the chosen purpose.
A number of items are offered by Portsmouth Cycle Exchange for free with the hire. This is to enable the hirer to have the facility to address a puncture should the situation arise. Please note any free items that are not returned by the hirer will be charged for as per the terms and conditions.
